We have witnessed an increasing movement to improve human relationships with the environment, and measure the impact we cause on society and future generations. Therefore, Bradesco Asset has prioritized the search for sustainability, a term that encompasses environmental, social and corporate governance. Being one of the leaders in the market, BRAM not only implements the most up-to-date concepts of sustainability in its investment process, but also allows investors to access products aligned with this theme. Assuming and reinforcing this commitment, BRAM is a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), a voluntary agreement of the United Nations to integrate environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) within the investment process. In this section, we explore how BRAM is engaging in the subject.
Our strategy is based on three main pillars: Industry, Business, and Professionals.
We engage the companies we invest in and our business partners to ensure the adoption of best environmental, social and corporate governance practices in their respective segments. • Companies: BRAM holds meetings with all companies in its equity portfolio after analyzing public information. The aim is to deepen understanding and engage these companies. The meetings will extend to the analysis of other asset classes such as corporate bonds. • Brokers: as important partners of asset managers, brokers undergo an evaluation and selection process that addresses the main ESG criteria. In addition to a specific questionnaire, individual talks are held for verification and further dialogue on the subject.
We engage the companies we invest in and our business partners to ensure the adoption of best environmental, social and corporate governance practices in their respective segments. Responsible Investments of BRAM
We have developed a methodology that considers and measures the most important issues for the different sectors in which we invest. • 2014 - Implementation of evaluation for Equity portfolios • 2015 - Start of implementation in corporate bonds Our analysis is based on public information and contact with the selected company for development of a rating. This rating also takes into account the analysis of economic and financial information of the company and the recommendations of managers and analysts.
We engage invested companies and business partners in the adoption of the best environmental, social and corporate governance practices in their respective segments.
Bradesco Asset holds meetings with the investees, Variable Income and Corporate Fixed Income. Bradesco Asset also has the coordination function of PRI Brasil's ESG Practices Working Group, which aims to improve the transparency of companies' socio-environmental and corporate governance information for investors.
